David Beckham’s latest post-football venture, a London based restaurant, is nearly ready to open its doors, and we’ve got a sneaky peek inside the new venue.
Created in collaboration with friend Gordon Ramsay, the Union Street Café in Southwark, London, has been described as an “urban warehouse destination” offering Mediterranean style food sourced from nearby Borough Market.
Since retiring from professional football earlier this year, David Beckham has been looking into a number of new projects, including starting up his own football team in Miami. No doubt the father-of-four has been channeling all his efforts into the new restaurant lately, as it is now scheduled to open its doors next month.
Said to have been in the works for several years, David and chef Gordon Ramsay are old friends, as are their wives Tana and Victoria Beckham.
Gordon said of the new venture, “We're really excited to be opening Union Street Cafe in September and it’s great that David wants to come on board and be a partner.”
