Mischa Barton Does Ballroom?! Where Your Favourite Noughties Stars Are Now

Where are your favourite ‘00s stars now? We’ve tracked them down…

Mischa Barton on Dancing With The Stars?! It was the news that absolutely nobody saw coming, but it got us thinking — where has Mischa been since that infamous OC death scene?! In fact, where have all of our favourite noughties faces disappeared to? We did some digging…

Mischa Barton
Mischa has clocked up plenty of TV appearances and not-so-glowing film reviews since she left The OC, and even had a starring role in James Blunt’s Goodbye My Lover video. She also launched a range of headbands in 2008, and a 14-piece handbag line for ASOS. Recently? Mischa took on Dancing With The Stars, the US’s version of Strictly Come Dancing.

Rachel Bilson
You’ll probably recognise Mischa’s co-star Rachel Bilson from American comedy-drama series Hart of Dixie, but she also popped up in Gossip Girl, New York, I Love You and How I Met Your Mother, as well as giving birth to a daughter, Briar Rose, with Hayden Christensen.

Leighton Meester
Hey Upper East Siders, Blair was the real Queen B of TV. Leighton won our hearts on the steps of the Met, and followed up that [spoiler alert] Bass wedding with roles in TV, film and theatre. Turns out Leighton can sing, too, as she released her debut single in 2009, and an album, Heartstrings, in 2014. In the stuff of ‘00s TV dreams, Leighton married Adam Brody aka Seth Cohen in 2014, and had daughter Arlo Day in 2015. Aww!

Taylor Momsen
Momsen is not Little J anymore… Taylor’s on-screen evolution into a rebellious rock chick played out in real-life, too, with Taylor fading out of the series to concentrate on her band, The Pretty Reckless. Think Courtney Love crossed with Marilyn Manson – in eight-inch heels.

Jesse Metcalfe
Hello, hot gardener. Jesse Metcalfe is best known for both his affair with Gabriella Solis on Desperate Housewives and being a serial cheater in John Tucker Must Die, and has stacked up TV and film appearances ever since. There's been nothing major quite yet, but we're holding out hope.

Ed Westwick
He’s Chuck Bass, plain and simple. Brit-born Ed already had those classic first TV appearances in Doctors and Casualty under his belt, before landing the role that would make him a global heart-throb. He followed Gossip Girl with Donnie Darko II, Chalet Girl and Romeo and Juliet, and you catch him in American TV series Wicked City if you’re quick — the show was cancelled after three episodes. He’s also in a rock band, The Filthy Youth.

Penn Badgley
Another John Tucker Must Die alum, you’ll have spotted Penn Badgley in Easy A and The Stepfather post-Gossip Girl, as well as hand-in-hand with co-star Blake Lively until 2010, and Zoe Kravitz from from 2011 to 2013. Lonely Boy isn’t so lonely after all… He’s also in the band MOTHXR.

Hayden Panettiere
Save the cheerleader, save the world. After Heroes, Hayden has been in everything from Punkd to American Dad! before landing a major role in Nashville in 2012. She also voices video games, is a Grammy award winning singer and has a daughter with fiancé Wladimir Klitschko.

Alexis Bledel
Missing Rory Gilmore? Don’t, because she’s back for the brand new Gilmore Girls series, dropping on Netflix sometime this year. But between then and now, Alexis has been busy on ER, Mad Men and The Sisterhood Of The Travelling Pants – all of which we’ve binged on at some point.
