Michelle Obama is no stranger to putting on large scale events, no matter what the age of her guests, and yesterday's Read Across America event at the Library of Congress certainly seemed to thrill its young fans, who included Jessica Alba's two-year-old daughter, Honor.
Marking what would be the 107th birthday of beloved author Theodor Seuss Geisel, aka Dr Suess, the famous ladies sat before a crowd of children to read his classic rhymes.
Before the event, Jessica, who is expecting her second child with husband Cash Warren, tweeted 'Heading to #readacrossamerica event at Library of Congress in DC. So cool!'
Though the children were more concerned with the tales at hand than their readers, it didn't stop the ladies putting in some impressive sartorial efforts. The First Lady donned brights in a printed tee and tangerine skirt, while Jessica styled her baby bump in a cute floral shift.
