Is This The Most Energetic First Dance Ever?

Is This The Most Energetic First Dance Ever?

Glitter cannons, complex lifts, crowd surfing. There was no awkward slow dancing on Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan's wedding dance floor.

Michelle Keegan's wedding to Mark Wright brought the normally sedate town of Bury St Edmunds in Suffollk to a standstill last May.

Crowds lined the streets, three-deep rows of papparazzi camped out on the pavement, local police were even called in to help clear the way for the white Rolls Royce which delivered Michelle Keegan to the church. It was essentially TOWIE and Corrie's answer to the royal wedding.

Michelle and Mark had signed a six figure magazine deal so details of the day were initially kept under wraps.

But in the time since pictures have been released on Instagram of Michelle Keegan's wedding dress, a bespoke fishtail ivory gown by Galia Lahav at Browns Bride with French lace and Swarovski crystal details.

Michelle's 'something blue' was a spritz of Oscar de la Renta's Blue perfume - a good idea if you're struggling to find a something blue for your own wedding - while Michelle gave Mark a Cartier belt engraved with "I do today and forever 24 May 2015” to wear with his tux.

But what we hadn't seen until now was how energetic their first dance was.

No slow shuffle to Chris de Burgh for these two - in the manner of Kim and Kanye's slightly awkward first dance to John Legend (you can see that here) - a series of photographs tweeted by Mark show the couple went for a choreographed first dance routine with a first dance song choice every early Nineties power-ballad lover will appreciate: Whitney Houston's 'I Have Nothing.'

Here are the four pictures which prove Mark and Michelle got the moves

1) The knee slide – very handy if you’ve picked a Grease medley for your first dance song.

2) The backwards lift. This one requires strong triceps (Mark) and a good level of trust and commitment to the move (Michelle). We like that Michelle isn’t letting her wedding dress get in the way of a pretty advance dance move.

3) The group crowd lift

4) The groom crowd surf – did he jump into the crowd straight after this picture was taken? We hope so
