We say it each week, but this really was THE most nail-biting round of X Factor 2010 so far! Matt Cardle, One Direction and Rebecca Ferguson breezed through the results, while poor Cher Lloyd had to face Mary Byrne in the sing-off...
The strain of the competition was really starting to show on the final five but each act pulled out all the stops to perform their two songs on the Saturday show.
But someone had to go and on Sunday the British public revealed who they wanted for the finals, leaving Cher Lloyd and Mary Byrne to battle it out for their place.
An emotional sing-off saw all the judges except Louis Walsh vote to take Cher through to the finals, sending poor Mary packing.
And the contestants weren't the only ones pulling out all the stops, fellow judges Cheryl and Dannii upped the style ante for the semi-finals in an array of wow-worthy gowns. Both opting for lighter, frothy frocks on Saturday's show, Sunday saw them go a little darker with lashings of lace and sequins.
A roller-coaster ride all the way to the finals, we can't wait til next weekend to see who'll be crowned X Factor winner 2010.
