Marc Jacobs Promises Not To Wear A Dress To The Met Ball 2014

The big fash bash takes place on Monday, and Marc Jacobs says he'll be sticking to the dress code this year

Marc Jacobs has been known to interpret dress codes in his own special way in the past. At last year's Met Ball the designer opted to wear a black lace dress over white pants, and the following year he turned up in a pair of polka dot pyjamas.

But this time around, the designer will be keeping strictly to the 'white tie and decorations' dress code. 'I think it will be black with white tie, as the dress code asks for,' Marc said when asked what he would be wearing, adding that his tux will be Saint Laurent.

'I mean it's not exciting as wearing a lace dress andboxer shorts,' the designer admitted,  'but that was only for Miuccia Prada. This is much more straightforward.'

And who will his date be for the evening? 'I will be escorting the lovely and brilliant Jessica Lange,' the designer told The Cut. Which makes sense, given that the actress is currently the face of Marc Jacobs beauty.

We're certain they're going to make a very stylish pair...
