The Queen of Pop is turning fashion designer to create a clothing range for teenagers
Madonna has sparked fashion trends, starred in designer advertising campaigns, been a muse for some of the world's top designers and famously reinvented her fashion style innumerable times… And now she's decided to use her fashion nous to help a new generation of girls get the Material Girl look.
The range which she will be designing for US-based Iconix Brand Group is said to be inspired by her (equally fashionable) teenage daughter, Lourdes. At just 13 the youngster is already impressing us wardrobe-wise when she's out and about with mum Madge.
The collection will be available from Macy's stores and online and won't break the bank with prices ranging from $12 to $40.
Madonna said of the venture: 'Joining forces with Iconix to bring my fashion ideas to consumers is very exciting for me.'
Expect back-to-school clothes, shoes, handbags and jewellery and there's even talk of Madonna working on a fragrance to launch next year.
