Madonna and Brangelina do their bit for charity

Madonna is in Malawi with Lourdes and Mercy James while Brad and Ange visit refugees in Bosnia

Madonna was in Malawi yesterday to attend the brick laying ceremony for her $15 million girls' academy aiming to help orphaned children, due to open in 2011.

The Material Girl was joined by daughters Lourdes and Mercy James. The build is the latest charity scheme in Madonna's work for Malawi from where she adopted her two younger children, Mercy James and David Banda.

Back in Europe and Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were keeping up their philanthropic work by visiting a refugee camp in Bosnia. The Hollywood couple met two families who are still refugees, 15 years after the civil war.

Angelina is currently shooting The Tourist with Johnny Depp in Venice where the Brangelina brood have temporarily decamped to.
