The stars of the small screen united last night at the Critics’ Choice Television Awards in Beverly Hills. From Glee's Jane Lynch to Cougar Town’s Courteney Cox, clad in snake-print Lanvin, to Mad Men’s heartthrob John Hamm, looking almost unrecognisable in a bushy beard and white suit, the crème de la crème of US TV were there to celebrate their hit shows.
Hosted by our very own Cat Deeley, who fronts So You Think You Can Dance States-side, the ceremony belonged to the cast of Mad Men, who scooped the Best Drama award as well as Best Actor in a Drama for John Hamm and Best Supporting Actress in a Drama for Christina Hendricks.
Other big winners included 30 Rock's Tina Fey for Best Actress in a Comedy, How I Met Your Mother star Neil Patrick Harris for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy and Cougar Town actress Busy Philipps for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy. Meanwhile, Modern Family won Best Comedy, and American Idol scored the Best Reality Show award.
The Critics’ Choice Television Awards are a good gage of who will triumph at the TV Emmys, which take pklace on 14 July. Stay tuned!
