Lea Michele says there was ‘no greater man’ than Cory Monteith in her first interview since his death
Lea Michele has continued to prove her unbelievable strength of character in her first interview since the untimely death of her boyfriend, and Glee co-star, Cory Monteith.
Ahead of the show’s tribute episode to the 31-year-old actor, titled The Quarterback and set to air in the US this week, Lea opened up on her loss to TV Week Australia. And it’s as emotional as you’d expect.
“I feel like, for me personally, I’ve lost two people: Cory and Finn,” Lea said. Adding, “There was no greater man than Cory. So, for the time we spent together, I consider myself very lucky.”
Having faced the public with complete courage since losing Cory to a heroin overdose in July, Lea, 27, soon returned to the job that brought them together.
“Everyone is asking: ‘Is it hard to do this? Is it hard to be back at work?’, but the truth is it’s no harder at work than it is in life so we might as well all be together as a family supporting each other to get through this together”, she explained.
What an admirable lady.
