Kirsten Dunst And Dakota Fanning Join Miu Miu To Celebrate Amazing Women In Film

The most stylish girls on the A-list block joined Miuccia Prada to celebrate awesome women in film at Venice Film Festival and now we feel totally empowered...

Kirsten Dunst, Dakota Fanning, Lena Dunham, Felicity Jones and Kate Mara (phew) all flocked to Venice Film Festival last night to join acclaimed designer Miuccia Prada, who hosted the ultimate fashion dinner to celebrate the latest additions to Miu Miu’s on-going film series Women’s Tales and boy did the girls bring their fashion game...

The two short movies entitled ‘Spark and Light’ and ‘Somebody’ respectively were premiered as part of the Venice Days festival, each focusing on women and celebrate femininity in the 21st century. So, it comes as no surprise that some of the industries rising stars as well as seasoned Hollywood ladies stepped out to show their support for the empowering women's series.

While practically all the guests sported either Miu Miu or Prada (after all, why wouldn't you?), they each put their own style stamp on the glamorous event.

We don't know about you but we were beginning to wonder where Kirsten Dunst had gone to, so you can imagine our delight when we clocked her at the festival looking incredibly cool. The 32-year-old Bring It On actress looked sexy and cute and popular to boot - sorry, scratch that - chic in her retro print mini dress complete with a high roll neck, which she offset with very modern silver strap heels. Way to make a comeback, KD...

Next up we spotted Kate Mara who chose a mini-dress of her own but unlike Kirsten hers had a very decadent '20s feel to it. Covered in pearl beads and finished with jewel flower clusters, Kate cemented her status as an emerging fashion icon...

What would an inspiring women event be without Lena Dunham? The writer and actress made a very glossy appearance on the red carpet, opting for a sleek printed shift dress, which she worked with an edgy studded clutch. And just look at that hair; Lena's single-handedly bringing the bouffant back with that gravity-defying do. Yep, this look is world's away from THAT daring Emmys ensemble

Next up was actress and model Felicity Jones who channelled her trademark '60s style in a long sleeve navy swing dress complete with beaded clusters. Stunning doesn't cut it. Her side-swept fringe finished off the vintage look a dream.

Last by no means least was Dakota Fanning and she definitely did not disappoint in the outfit stakes. The 20-year-old starlet opted for a jewel hem shift in ivory which blended with her porcelain skin-tone perfectly. To stop her ensemble from blending in with the crowd, Dakota cleverly incorporated a bright green clutch to her look, matching the beading on her frock seamlessly. Now that's a red-carpet styling trick we'll be trying for ourselves...

Take a look at one of Miuccia Prada's short films below or check out the full series here. We guarantee they'll make you feel proud to be a woman...
