Remember Kim Kardashian’s butt-naked Paper Magazine cover? Yep, it’s pretty well emblazoned in our minds too. Well, it looks like the hubbub is not over yet…
In order to keep the commotion going strong, Kim threw a little party in the magazine’s honour in Miami to celebrate the inevitable success of her #BreakTheInternet campaign.
We’ve got to give some credit to Kimmy; when we first heard this get-together was happening, we were waiting with baited breath to see just what she would (or wouldn’t wear). However, the look she ended up wearable, we have to admit, was a pleasant surprise.
The 34-year-old Keeping Up With The Kardashian’s starlet looked chic in a black maxi skirt — granted, with splits up the side — and a minimal bandeau top, which she wore with seriously cool gold chain-strap heels from Tom Ford.
The top and skirt looked so slick paired together that you’d be forgiven for thinking they came as a set. However, the top is actually the work of Thierry Mugler, while her sexy skirt came direct from J. Mendel. Nice work, lady.
Yep; Kim’s slick appearance at the bash couldn’t have been more different from how she looked in Paper Magazine’s revealing spread.
As if you even need reminding but it was last month that Kim brought the internet to its knees after the first few snaps of her completely starkers shoot for the US publication found themselves leaked online.
The shot of her greased-up derriere was the first image to set the entire world into a frenzy. And then, just when we thought we’d seen all there was to see of Kim, the mag went on to share a pic of Kim posing full-frontal for the camera.
Needless to say, that’s when Kim really achieved her #BreakTheInternet goal…
Never one to shy away from voicing her opinion, Kim was quick to defend her choice to bare all in the controversial spread. Speaking to Aussie TV show Channel Nine Today, she said:
‘I had a really bad pregnancy and I gained a lot of weight and I did not feel good about myself. I felt probably the lowest I have ever felt in my life. I saw a clip of me when I must have been about eight months pregnant - huge! I said, "guys, just wait until I have this baby, as soon as I get my body back and I feel good about myself, I'm going to do some naked shoot so just be ready."'
You’ve got to hand it to her; she’s a woman of her word…
