Kim Kardashian Is Immortalised In A Warhol Print

Kanye West has reportedly commissioned a portrait of his fiancée Kim by Andy Warhol's artist cousin

Kim Kardashian has been immortalised in a painting by one of Andy Warhol's relatives, Monica Warhol.

It has been reported that Kim's fiancé, Kanye West, commissioned the piece from the artist, who is a distant cousin of the late pop artist.

Monica Warhol, who is the mother to six children and lives in Arizona, said of Kim in Page Six: 'She’s an icon. She’s famous for nothing. Andy would have loved her. Kim is beautiful. She’s so manufactured. She looks like a human Barbie.

This won't be Monica's first celebrity portrait: she has already painted Flo Rida as well as the twins Richard and Robert Dupont who used to be regulars at Andy Warhol's Factory.

Although Monica says she does not try to imitate Andy Warhol's famous pop art paintings, she also uses screen printing to create her works, the same method Andy used to create his iconic silkscreens.

So, expect to many multi-coloured prints in Kim's image very soon...
