Kim Kardashian Demonstrates The Easiest (And Edgiest) Way To Update Your Front Split Skirt

Front split skirts have been all the rage this season with Kim Kardashian frequenting them more times than we care to count. Now she's found the coolest way to give your splits a whole new spin...

Kim Kardashian always looks her best when she's decked out in high-end separates and her latest outfit is definitely a testament to that. While she may have sported a sheer lacy blouse and slinky silk wide leg trousers for a dinner date with her hubby Kanye West but it was the look she sported earlier on in the day that *really* caught our eye...

Stepping out to run errands in New York City, the 34-year-old Keeping Up With The Kardashian's starlet looked incredible as she sauntered around the metropolis in head-to-toe Celine. What we wouldn't GIVE to do our own weekly food shop in 100% designer clobber...

Working a gorgeous camel coat — which she effortlessly shoulder robed for added effect — with a high neck tan jumper and orange strappy heels, this could easily be one of Kimmy's chicest ensemble to date. However, the crowning glory of her look has to be this stunning khaki skirt complete with a thigh split — one of the biggest skirt trends of the season.

While she's championed the front split skirt since the trend first surfaced, Kimmy has now found a way to make the trend look way cooler with the help of a few pins.

Sure they may be little but these pins — fixed to the split seam of her skirt — pack way more of a style hit. And they're super easy to get your hands on. Simply type into Google search 'ball ended collar pins' and up pops hoards of websites that have just that; thin needle-like pins with one small ball fixed into place on one end and a loose, screw-on ball that goes on the other. Ebay is a good bet but most haberdashery/craft shops will stock them too so if you're on a tight budget, it always pays to look around.

To get Kim's look, try fixing together the edges of your front or side split skirt in place with a few of these edgy fastenings — leaving a big enough gap to let a hint of your leg shine through and you'll instantly give your trusty going out skirt a fresh and seriously stylish new spin. Well, if it's good enough for Celine...

If you don't fancy forking out on them, it's = worth asking the men in your life if they have any laying dormant in their sock drawers. Often, when they buy ready-styled shirt and tie sets, they'll come with a free tie pin to boot which, more often that not, ends up getting turfed or pushed to one side. You know what they say — one man's trash is another [wo]man's treasure.
