Kim Kardashian with Riccardo Tisci

Kim Kardashian gives us a sneak peek of her wedding dress with Riccardo Tisci

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's wedding was always going to be a megawatt do, despite Kim's assertions otherwise, but we're still left open-mouthed at just how extravagant the sprawling event was.

After a six-day stint in Paris, Kimye and their wedding party flew to Florence, where the couple said their 'I dos' at the lavish Forte di Belvedere (at a cost of £243,000) in front of a giant wall of blooms and a white grand piano. Oh, and a casual 600 guests who each received a gold embossed invitation worth £600.

So how much does it cost to keep that many people fed and watered for an evening? According the The Times, Kimye shelled out an eye-watering £1.8m on the celebrations at the fort, which included 1,000 bottles of champagne, and £74,000 spent on 'treats'.

And that's not forgetting the pre-wedding dinner for 200 in Versailles the evening before their nuptials, which cost Kim £9,500 for her dress – a white tuxedo-style number by Maison Martin Margiela – alone.

But what about the rest of Kim's wedding wardrobe? While there has been much speculation on which designer Kim would wear on the big day, the reality TV star settled for a custom made Givenchy dress, designed by the label's creative director – and close friend of Kimye – Riccardo Tisci.

Of course, one dress was never going to be enough for this wedding, and so for evening Kim called upon her other favourite designer – Balmain's Olivier Rousteing – to create her an embellished minidress to party in.

And that's not counting the gowns Kim's packed for her honeymoon wardrobe. Although, given recent reports that the couple are spending their first days as husband and wife in Ireland, we'd say a cagoul would be most appropriate.

Still, if there's anyone able to find a way to do couture waterproofs, it's Kim.
