1. She's the queen of ladylike chic
This Proenza Schouler LBD (above) is a perfect example of Keira's less-is-more approach to red carpet dressing. And by less-is-more we mean fuss-free and simple, rather than thigh-high splits and navel grazing necklines. No, Keira's all about a hemline that hits the calf – ankles are far sexier than cleavage.
2. She's got the pick of the Chanel Couture catwalk
As the face of Coco Mademoiselle and star of Karl Lagerfeld's Chanel films, Keira has the pick of the Chanel Couture collections. We loved her in this monochrome number at the recent Chanel ready-to-wear show. Oh, to be friends with Karl.
3. She's a nonchalant red carpet-dresser
Have you ever seen anyone else as at home in a floor length satin Erdem evening gown than Keira? There she is, with her hands in her pockets, like this was any other day. What a pro.
4. She likes to get some proper wear out of her clothes
Traditionally, brides like to buy a new dress to get married in. Not Keira. The actress chose this Chanel (obvs) ballerina-esque dress to get hitched in last summer because, she said recently, she'd had such fun in it before. And she continued to do so – until a friend spilled red wine down it. We've all been there.
5. She looks just as good off the red carpet, as on
A simple floral dress (albeit by Erdem), flat sandals and a pair of large sunglasses and Keira's good to go – the fewer minutes spent on the outfit, the more there is to have a good time. This is weekend dressing done right.
