Kate Moss will be the cover star for Playboy's 60th anniversary issue
While most people choose to see in their 40th birthday with a few friends and family, Kate Moss will mark her 40th year by posing for the cover of Playboy. But then, it’s fair to say thay the Croydon-born supermodel and global fashion icon isn’t "most people".
Rumours that Kate would pose for the 60th anniversary of the magazine first started circulating back in June, but it is only now that it has been confirmed that the supermodel will pose for the iconic publication.
Speaking on choosing Kate to cover their anniversary issue, Playboy founder Hugh Hefner said: "She's a worldwide celebrity, is iconic, and crosses the boundaries from sexual imagery to upscale modelling. It's a natural for us."
Acclaimed fashion photographers, and personal friends of Kate, Mert Alas and Marcs Pigott, are thought to have already shot the cover which will hit newsstands in December, just a month shy of Kate’s 40th birthday.
And if you’re wondering what Kate will be wearing, the answer is: not much. Playboy’s signature bunny ears will make an appearance, as well as some silk stockings and French cuffs.
Of course, Kate Moss isn’t the first super to pose for Playboy: Naomi Campbell, Elle Macpherson, Claudia Schiffer and Eva Herzigova have all gone before her. We’re sure she’ll look amazing. OM
