We may not yet know what it's a boy or girl but one aspect of its name is now certain. It has been confirmed that the child will be dubbed the first ever Prince or Princess of Cambridge.
The Mayor of Cambridge, Councillor Paul Saunders, explained: "It is a great honour and I'm sure the people of Cambridge will appreciate it greatly."
He continued: "I think it's lovely to continue the close link with the Royal family. I think anything which helps to keep Cambridge in the public eye is a good thing as we rely on tourism."
The Royal baby is expected to arrive on 13 July 2013, and will be born at St Mary's Hospital in Paddington, London. Eager fans will then be able to see the news of its arrival and weight shortly after at Buckingham Palace where an official announcement will be framed.
