Kate Middleton has long been a fan of London Fashion Week designer, Roksanda Ilincic. The Duchess has been wearing Ilincic's feminine, scupltural dresses since 2011, and most recently packed two bespoke numbers into her suitcase for her Antipodean tour.
So given Kate's love of Roksanda's creations, it probably comes as no surprise that the designer is a big fan of the Duchess, too.
'Her influence is beyond everything,' Roksanda told The Sunday Times Style. 'Everybody wants to look like Kate. She’s a real-time princess.'
And it certainly does feel that everybody (or perhaps almost everybody) wants to look like Kate, as stores and designer's will testify when their stock sells out after the 32-year-old has been photographed wearing it.
'I always felt strongly that women need to feel beautiful, but also comfortable at the same time,' Roksanda continued. 'I wanted to create something that suits their lifestyles. I think that’s our core customer — women who work hard during the day and then need to look fabulous in the evening, going to a party without having time to get changed. Women’s lives are fast, and you need to be on top of the game.'
It sounds like Kate Middleton is her ideal customer...
