Kate Middleton wearing the DVF Patrice dress
Kate Middleton has caused yet another fashion frenzy, quelle surprise, by stepping out in this summery Diane von Furstenberg dress for a visit to the Blue Mountains to meet victims of last year's devastating bush fires,
The navy and white printed cotton 'Patrice' dress is from DVF's spring/summer 2014 collection, which is unusual for Kate who often wears designer pieces from one or two seasons ago. Or, indeed, from several years ago.
While the 3/4 sleeve wrap dress has sold out in some places, including the designer's American website, we've discovered that some are still available on DVF's UK site. And if you're a size 16, Harvey Nichols still has some for you. But move fast, we don't think they'll be hanging around for long.
While it's not the cheapest of garments, we think we could easily justify the £292 price tag by the fact that it's the kind of dress we'd wear all summer long. To the office, to a summer party, or for a laid-back weekend – this is one of those all-purpose dresses that are true investments.
