Kate Middleton's baby to have own lullaby composed

To celebrate the birth of Kate Middleton and Prince William baby, composer Paul Mealor has written an original lullaby…

When the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge welcome their baby in July, we're bound to see an influx of commemorative memorabilia hitting the shelves, but there's also a more musical tribute already in the pipeline for the little one.

Paul Mealor who wrote the music for the Royal wedding has composed a lullaby for Kate Middleton's baby.

He explains: "After writing music for the Royal Wedding it seemed natural to provide the musical accompaniment for the next stage of the royal couple's journey together."

The song, Sleep On, has been recorded with vocals by classical artist Hayley Westenra who has included it on a new album of lullabies which she has sent over to the Royal couple.

Hayley has previously sung for the Prince of Wales, and said of the recording: "Paul and I got together to work on a song called Sleep On in honour of William and Kate's new arrival as it's such a joyous occasion which we can all celebrate."

We're sure the lullaby will help Kate and Wills rock their new arrival into plenty of sound sleeps.
