Kate Middleton Wears Cut-Price High Street Coat For St Patrick's Day Parade

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge made their first joint appearance of the year in Aldershot

Kate Middleton and Prince William were the special guests at the Irish Guards parade at Mons Barracks in Aldershot today, which marked their first official appearance together for 2014.

Fresh from their holiday in the Maldives, the couple greeted officers together, while Kate was tasked with handing out 300 shamrocks to the guardsmen – a royal tradition which has been in place since 1901.

In keeping with the St Patrick's Day colour scheme, the Duchess wore top-to-toe emerald green for the event. Kate matched her Hobbs coat – which is currently on sale for £195 on the store's website – with a pair of suede courts and hat.

Something tells us that Hobbs is about to have a busy day…
