Pregnant Kate Middleton’s milliner, Jane Taylor, reveals what it’s like to design for the Duchess of Cambridge
Every Kate Middleton style fan will have taken note of the designer behind some of the pregnant Duchess of Cambridge’s most memorable hats, Jane Taylor, and the milliner du jour has opened up about what it’s like working with Kate.
Having created the nude beaded hat that topped one of Kate Middleton’s looks for the Jubilee celebrations last summer, Jane Taylor knows all about designing a piece that will make you feel your best in the public eye, explaining: “The Royals, like us, want to look and feel fabulous.”
Continuing: “Confidence, expression, sophisticated and feminine.”
And what of Kate’s penchant for recycling? Jane Taylor admitted: “Certainly I think a hat can be worn more than once, it really depends on the outfit and the versatility of the hat. If the hat suits the outfit I don’t see why it can’t be worn again and again.”
Before revealing: “It has been a real honour for [Kate Middleton] to wear my pieces.”
