With a weekend of celebrations to attend, Kate Middleton flew the flag for British style working Alexander McQueen looks in red and white, completing the nation's colours in a blue Whistles dress, for her appearance over the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.
Appearing on the Royal barge with husband Prince William, Prince Harry and other senior Royals, Kate Middleton wowed in her first Jubilee outfit - a bold red pleated Alexander McQueen dress, custom-made for the Duchess complete with knee-length alterations. Style savvy Kate recycled the scarlet Silvia Fletcher maple leaf hat which she wore in Canada last year and her classic nude L.K.Bennett courts to finish her flotilla-fabulous look, and staved off the rain in a tartan check scarf.
WATCH KATE'S JUBILEE STYLE
Swapping her scarlet dress for a high street number the next day, the Duchess wore a blue patterned Whistles dress to watch The Diamond Jubilee Concert in front of Buckingham Palace. Beating the chill with an Alexander McQueen blazer, Kate watched performers including Cheryl Cole, who took to the stage in a fishtail two-tone gown by Ewa Minge.
And to round off her Jubilee style hits, Kate finished her hat-trick of style in another Alexander McQueen dress, this time a more demure peaches and cream lacy number, to join members of the Royal family at the Jubilee Thanksgiving Service at St Paul’s Cathedral. Finishing her look with an elaborate Jane Taylor hat and simple pearl earrings, Kate’s L.K.Bennett pumps got a final Jubilee outing as the Royal family traveled to Buckingham Palace and took to the balcony to wave to crowds below.
