Kate Middleton attends a SportsAid event
Kate Middleton left the two main men in her life behind today, as she made her first solo public engagement since becoming a mum to Prince George.
Wearing a classic Kate mix of designer and high street, the new mum looked chic in Ralph Lauren Breton stripes, smart navy blazer, Russell and Bromley wedges and J brand skinnies, as she paid a visit to Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park to support young athletes as part of a SportsAid event.
Not happy just to stand on the sidelines and watch, Kate quickly got involved in a game of volleyball, and looked pretty good at it even in a massive pair of heels.
Although this isn’t the first time the Duchess has been seen out – she wowed us on the red carpet at the Tusk Foundation gala dinner last month, and also opened a marathon with William in Anglesey – she hasn’t attended an event alone since giving birth to Prince George.
As a patron of SportsAid, a charity that helps young athletes with funding early on in their careers, Kate often lends her support at events such as these.
Meanwhile, preparations are well underway for Prince George's christening next week. Check back for all the latest news and pictures...
