Kate Middleton showed she's fully equipped to raise a child in the modern world by getting involved in a heavy debate about the worrying teenage trend of sexting.
The 31-year-old Duchess of Cambridge was in London's Canary Wharf to take part in a conference run by children's mental health charity Place2Be, of which Kate is a patron.
Looking ladylike in a navy Orla Kiely skirt and matching Max Mara jacket, the new mum ended up staying an hour longer than scheduled to meet students and learn more about cyber-bullying in the discussion forums.
Following her 30 minute talk on the graphic content teenagers are exposed to in the digital age, Professor Tanya Byron told Mail Online: 'The Duchess was asking questions, and mentioned she was at a meeting yesterday when the issue of sexting came up as well.'
'She was interested in what we do and my colleagues' work on addiction. She's become a mother and wants to support us. Its like a gift. She's a very bright woman. She said at one point when I was speaking she was telling the person she was with 'I hope you're writing this down'.'
The professor added: 'Its not just a fly in and fly out. You can see this means something to her.'
With serious street-savvy know how like this, Kate's going to make one amazingly cool mum.
