The Trooping the Colour ceremony was Kate Middleton's last official engagement before the birth of the Royal baby, and it seems she plans to absent herself from private occasions, too. It was thought she may step out for the wedding of Prince William's childhood friend Lady Melissa Percy this weekend, the Duke arrived minus his wife.
KATE MIDDLETON'S ROYAL ENGAGEMENTS
Prince William was among the 500 plus guests at the wedding of Thomas van Straubenzee and Lady Melissa Percy at Alnwick Castle in Northumberland. And he wasn't without familiar faces for company, as also on the guest list were brother Harry, cousins Beatrice and Eugenie and Kate's sister, Pippa Middleton.
Harry and Wills joined the groom's party, escorting Thomas van Straubenzee to St Michael's Parish Church looking dapper in black tailcoats, light blue waistcoats and pinstripe trousers.
Meanwhile, Pippa was there to champion the Middleton family style credentials, putting on a polished show in a monochrome peplum dress by Tabitha Webb accessorised with a fathered fascinator and black patent courts.
We wonder what Kate would have worn? Looks like the next time we'll be seeing the Duchess is with baby in tow...
