Kate Middleton's met some pretty high profile celebrities crammed into her three days in New York this week. There was Hillary Clinton, the First Lady of New York City Chirlane McCray and ,of course, Beyonce and Jay Z. But it seems the one person that really got the Duchess excited was J. Crew's Jenna Lyons.
The pair met at a reception to celebrate the wealth of British Talent in the Creative Industries based in New York, and Kate was clearly enthralled by whatever Jenna had to say. Maybe she was offering Kate a discount on some new stock? We know that's the face we'd pull if we met the J. Crew designer and she told us we could get 50% off.
For the occasion, Kate wore a simple black rollneck dress by her go British maternity wear label, Seraphine. And guess what? It's not sold out. Yet. The £59 black dress is still available in all sizes on the Seraphine website, so if you're looking for a reasonably priced dress to keep your bump warm in the coming months, then you know where to go.
Earlier in the day, the Duchess paid a visit to the National September 11 Memorial Museum for which she injected a bit of colour into the wet New York day with a bright pink coat from Mulberry. Sadly though, this one's already flown off the rails.
And it seems that it was three times a charm for the Jenny Packham number Kate wore to round off the royal three-day trip at a glitzy dinner. The Duchess's emerald green off shoulder dress has made another two appearances in the last year or so: once in February, and back in October last year. While we're always keen to see Kate in something new, we can't deny this looks stunning on her.
And if we had a dress we looked this good in, we'd want to wear it all the time, too.
