The Duchess of Cambridge has hired Princess Diana’s former hair stylist for her Australian tour with Prince William

Kate Middleton has enlisted the help of Princess Diana’s former hairdresser, Joh Bailey, to accompany her on an upcoming tour around Australia.

The new reports come after the Duchess of Cambridge attended her first solo engagement on Friday, with her signature tresses blow-dried to perfection.

According to the Mail Online, Joh will join Kate and Prince William on the 2014 tour of Australia.

Famously, the Sydney-based hairdresser was responsible for Diana’s tresses when she embarked on a similar tour in 1996.

“[Diana] was the most elegant and gracious lady you could have imagined,” Joh told an Australian newspaper.

Adding, “She had a ball in Sydney and loved everything about the city… she was a lot of fun. She would sit in the chair flicking through newspaper and magazine clippings, and read absolutely everything the tabloids wrote about her.”

It’s not yet known if Prince George with join the young royals on the Australian visit, while focus now turns to the royal baby’s christening this week. Something tells us K Middy's trusted navy blazer won't be on the agenda for this special occassion...
