Kate Middleton was the hostess with the mostess last night, as she invited guests to Kensington Palace for a charity event.
The Duchess opted for a subtly retro look for the eveing, wearing a peplum top and pleated skirt cinched at the waist with a leather belt.
Priced at just £60, Kate's sheer black top with polka dots from Hobbs is perfect for the party season and has, unsurprisingly, sold out. Sorry if you didn't get to bag one.
For the bottom half, the Duchess looked to Jenny Packham and to this midnight blue silk skirt from the designer's AW 2013 collection.
Finishing her look with a pair of ornate gold earrings and an elegant half-up half-down 'do, Kate looked effortlessly glamorous as she welcomed guests to Kensington Palace for a reception and awards ceremony on behalf of the children's mental health charity Place2Be, for which she is a patron.
Kate chatted and presented the young winners of the first ever Wellbeing in School Awards with their trophies stating that, 'the commitment, dedication and hard work that is going in across the schools involved with Place2Be is truly humbling, and to recognise that feels incredibly important.'
The 32-year-old, who is four months pregnant with her second child, didn't have far to travel for the reception which took place in the Queen's Gallery, just next door to the Cambridge's apartment where Prince George was left with his nanny and Prince William.
No need for a taxi home then, Kate...
