Kate and Prince George leave St James's Palace following the royal christening
Kate Middleton left Prince George's christening at St James's Palace earlier this afternoon cradling her firstborn in her arms, while husband Prince William told reporters how well their little one had behaved.
The 31-year-old Duchess of Cambridge, who had cleverly co-ordinated her chic christening outfit with her three-month-old son's pale lace gown, beamed with pride as she held three-month-old George close following the family's private ceremony in the Chapel Royal.
Kate allowed us another glimpse of her stunning cream Alexander McQueen ruffle dress and matching Jane Taylor pillbox hat, which she teamed with perfectly-groomed and glossy locks swept into a half updo, her signature dark brown eyeliner and just a hint of blush. Flawless.
New dad William is said to have joked to reporters about baby George's relaxed demeanour on the afternoon of such a landmark occasion. 'This is the first time he's been quiet all day', he's quoted as saying. Clearly our savvy future King noted the importance of today's royal event!
With the ceremony over, the trio have now headed to Clarence House for a celebratory tea party with friends and family, hosted by Kate. Tomorrow, an official photo of the Queen with her three future monarchs, Prince Charles, Prince William and Prince George, will be released to the public.
Let day two of royal baby excitement commence.
