Kate Middleton with baby Prince George

Rex

Kate Middleton and Prince William have always been a thoroughly modern Royal couple, and recent reports suggest that the new parents are to be breaking with tradition again with plans for a Beatrix Potter themed nursery for baby Prince George.

While it has been said that ordinarily a Royal nursery would be traditional in theme with antique furnishings, William and Kate are told to have been shopping from the Beatrix Potter collection at Knightsbridge nursery outfitters, Dragons on Walton Street.

The adorable collection features well-loved Beatrix Potter characters such as Peter Rabbit and Jemima Puddleduck adorned in pastel colours on white cots, dressers and chests, with a pale baby blue trim - very apt for the young Prince.

The sweet new nursery additions won't be the only traditionally English presents that baby Prince George will have received, with David Cameron having gifted the new Royal family member a collection of Roald Dahl stories - while Mayor of London Boris Johnson chose a more contemporary offering of a custom-made London 'Boris Bike'.
