When Kate Middleton stepped out of the private Lindo Wing where she gave birth to Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge, the world’s media were waiting for that all-important shot of the new Royal baby.
HOW DID KATE MIDDLETON AND PRINCE WILLIAM CHOOSE ROYAL BABY NAME?
However recent reports have commented that the Royal baby was in fact wrapped in a luxury £45 super-fine merino wool Christening shawl by Nottingham knitwear company GH Hurt and Son; the brand was also favoured by British fashion designer Victoria Beckham when tot Harper Beckham was born.
Victoria apparently opted for baby pink cosy cashmere version costing £110 for Harper while Kate and William went for a more purse-friendly option choosing a traditional white colour, further cementing that the Royal couple did not in fact know the sex of the baby as previously mentioned.
Prince William and David Beckham have of course been friends for some years, with Wills and Kate inviting both David and Victoria to their 2011 wedding.
KATE MIDDLETON AND PRINCE WILLIAM'S PARENTING PLAN
However it seems that the couples have kept in contact with Victoria perhaps suggesting or even gifting the shawl to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge beforehand.
