Kate Middleton and Prince William have kept fairly quite since the birth of their son, Prince Cambridge, releasing a simple message telling the world they "could not be happier". However a new statement has just been released addressing the staff at St Mary's Hospital in Paddington, London.

KATE MIDDLETON AND PRINCE WILLIAM TELL THE WORLD "WE COULD NOT BE HAPPIER"

In their latest notice the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have acknowledged key hospital officials noting: "We would like to thank the staff at the Lindo Wing and the whole hospital for the tremendous care the three of us have received."

Acknowledging the press and Royal-fan presence at the hospital in the lead up to, and during Kate's labour, the happy couple also added: "We know it has been a very busy period for the hospital and we would like to thank everyone - staff, patients and visitors - for their understanding during this time."

BRITAIN CELEBRATES BIRTH OF PRINCE CAMBRIDGE

Kate and William had secured the private Lindo Wing in keeping with Royal tradition – due to it being the same wing in which Princess Diana gave birth to Prince William and Prince Harry in 1982 and 1984 respectively.
