Kate Middleton, Prince William and baby Prince George

Kate Middleton and Prince William thrilled fans recently by sending out individual thank-you cards to everyone who sent them good wishes following the birth of their son Prince George.

The special card featured a picture of the Duke and Duchess’s first public moment as parents with George in Kate’s arms, and was sent to every single Royal fan who wrote to congratulate them on their special moment as a family.

Inside the card, the message told the reader of how Kate Middleton and Prince William were “Most touched that you took the trouble to write as you did on the occasion of the birth of their son,” and that “Their Royal Highnesses have been overwhelmed by all the wonderful messages they have received and send you their warmest thanks and best wishes.”

Many fans noted that the card arrived from Buckingham Palace exactly a month after Prince George was born, with a spokesperson from Kensington Palace noting that the new mum and dad “Are very grateful for the support and goodwill being expressed at this time,” and that everyone who wrote and supplied an address could expect a reply.

And it’s not the first time that the Duke and Duchess have gone out of their way to acknowledge those who have helped welcome Prince George into the world – shortly after leaving St Mary’s Hospital, where the third in line to the throne was born, the couple issued a heartfelt public statement thanking staff for their efforts. SM
