The first Royal engagement will be taking place on the 12 September 2013 - just over 50 days after the birth of Prince George - when new mum and dad Kate and Wills will be attending an awards ceremony for the Tusk Trust Conservation Award.
Prince William is a patron of the Tusk trust, and although Kate Middleton will still technically be on maternity leave she will be accompanying him to the ceremony that honours conservation heroes, while their newborn son will stay at home.
A spokesperson for Kensington Palace confirmed their upcoming attendance, noting that "It is a long standing engagement."
And although we've seen Prince William out and about on Royal duties, where he has chatted the the public about their new son, this will be the first appearance for Kate Middleton since showing baby George to the world outside the Lindo Wing, St Mary's Hospital in July.
