Looking as happy as can be, Kate Middleton and husband Prince William shared the first glimpse of their newborn son, and heir, Prince Cambridge to the world.

As the proud parents stepped outside the private Lindo Wing at St Mary’s Hospital, Paddington, the media frenzy ensued with photographers vying to capture that all-important photograph of the Royal couple and their first child.
 
Prince William first word's to the media were ”he has a good pair of lungs", while Kate looked on in admiration, adding its been "very emotional... such a special time".

Kate and Wills both opted to wear baby blue - a fitting tribute to their son - and while the Duchess of Cambridge was dressed in a spotted cornflower Jenny Packham dress and Pied A Terre Imperia wedges, looking perfectly polished as per usual, William opted for a more casual approach adorning an open-collared pin-striped shirt and classic jeans. The Royal baby was presented in a carefully wrapped a white blanket and barely even noticed the attention around him.
 
The Royal baby boy was of course born in the private Lindo Wing on Monday 22 July 2013 at 4.24pm, weighting a healthy 8lb 60z, following on in Royal tradition after Princess Diana gave birth to both Princes William and Harry at the same wing back in 1982 and 1984 respectively.
