As Kate Middleton and Prince William pose for their first official tour photograph, Kate brings out an old wardrobe favourite...
Kate Middleton and Prince William posed for their official photograph to mark their first overseas engagement as a married couple as they are due to start their North American tour next week.
And while Wills went for traditional royal blue, Kate followed his lead, resurrecting her tried and tested Amanda Wakeley midnight blue silk structured suit as worn to an official event in Lancashire before their wedding.
Kate has always maintained she wants free reign over her own wardrobe choices, even refusing to take a stylist with her on the American tour - opting instead for her trusted hairdresser.
Known for her love of high street - Reiss, Zara, L.K Bennett and Whistles being her particular favourites - despite the royal pomp and ceremony of her new life, clearly Kate's just a normal girl at heart and has her wardrobe staples.
The newly-weds are due to start their tour of North America on 30 June which includes nine days in Canada and three in the States.
No doubt Kate will treat our cousins across the pond to plenty of her effortless British elegance.
