When Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson took to the Valentino catwalk this week as their alter egos Derek and Hansel from Zoolander, the fashion pack – and the Internet at large – went into meltdown.
Some were calling it the best fashion moment ever, others said that witnessing a real life blue steel moment and walk off between the Zoolander stars was the highlight of their career to date.
So safe to say, the publicity stunt that announced that the second Zoolander film would be happening went down well.
And already it seems we have some names for the upcoming production. Of course, Stiller and Owen will be reprising their roles as the ever-preening male models, but it looks like they're going to be joined by some female professionals, too.
So far American supermodel Karlie Kloss has been slated to star in the movie, which will be the first acting job for the leggy 22-year-old. If anyone can teach Derek and Hansel a thing or two about the catwalk, it's her. Although something tells us they'll be wanting to impart their own widom.
And Cara Delevingne is also rumoured to have landed a role in the sequel, which isn't so surprising given her move into acting of late. The model also posted a picture of her sandwiched between Derek and Hansel after their now infamous walk off, which we reckon can only mean one thing…
Naomi Campbell, Jourdan Dunn and Alessandra Ambrosio might have also bagged themselves cameos in the film. And something tells us they won't be the only models vying for parts in what promises to be one of the most anticipated movies of the last few years.
No word yet sadly on a possible release date. Let's just hope they don't keep us waiting too long...
