Kanye West's Central St Martins Dreams Were Crushed Because Of His Fame

Kim Kardashian's husband-to-be wanted to study at the prestigious London college

Kanye West may have had a lot of doors opened to him in life owing to his wealth and fame, but not the entrance to Central Saint Martins.

Kim Kardashian's fiance, who has just shown his new collection for French label A.P.C, revealed that he wanted to study at the prestigious London college, but was turned down because he was 'too famous'. Amazing.

'I wanted to go to Central Saint Martins, but Louise Goldin said that I was too famous.' Kanye told GQ.com.

'So I basically had to learn my clothes through Style.com, through like Scott [Schuman] The Sartorialist, Tommy Ton, and dudes shopping.'

Kanye West's dabblings in the fashion world have had mixed reviews. His attempt at a womenswear line back in 2011 was received pretty poorly, but Kanye says he's learnt from his mistakes (albeit in typically immodest Kanye fashion).

'Luckily, I was rich enough to make mistakes and learn by like just being a fashion victim — which I definitely have been a fashion victim — and to flip it from fashion victim to maybe a fashion icon, to actually a person who can give an opinion, and that's what I'm in the process of doing. So I just want everyone to be patient with me as we go on this journey.'

So it looks as though Kanye's fashion career is far from over. The rapper's made no secret of how he wants Kim to look on their wedding day, and we wouldn't be wholly surprised if he had a hand in designing the dress. We'll have to wait and see...
