Kanye West has reportedly been taken to hospital, following a ‘disturbance’ on Monday afternoon.
The rapper and husband of Kim Kardashian was in LA, where news sources say police responded to a call that grew into a ‘medical emergency’.
It’s being reported the unnamed man was taken to UCLA hospital for ‘further assessment’ and to perform a 'welfare check'.
Other reports say West was taken in ‘for his own health and safety’, but these haven’t been confirmed and, as of yet, there’s no official statement.
The news follows Kanye’s unexpected cancelling of the remaining dates of his Saint Pablo tour, after a controversial show in Sacremento on Saturday where he sang just three songs. He then ‘ranted’ about Facebook, Jay Z and Hillary Clinton.
He finished the show saying: ‘Get ready to have a field day, press, because the show's over’ before dropping the microphone and walking out.
Before news of his hospitalisation broke, Kris Jenner spoke to TV show Extra about the reason for him calling off the tour: ‘He's exhausted, he's just really tired. He's had a gruelling tour and it's been a grind so he just needs some rest’.
The Saint Pablo tour hasn’t been plain sailing. Kanye had to leave his show at The Meadows Music Festival in New York on October 2, when news broke of Kim’s Paris robbery.
She was scheduled for her first public appearance since the robbery at The Angel Ball yesterday, alongside her mother Kris and sisters Khloe and Kourtney, but she didn’t attend. It's said she flew back from New York to LA on hearing the news of her husband.
