Not one to shy away from a bit of glitz and glam, Julian Macdonald has been confirmed as a contestant for this year's Strictly Come Dancing. The Welsh designer will join model Abbey Clancy, broadcaster Vanessa Feltz and singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor in the annual dance contest.
Famed for his extravagant catwalk creations, the Welsh designer revealed he is looking forward to his time in the limelight: "I like the fact I can have the sparkles and the crystals, and the glamour that I've spent my life putting on other people… I'm loving the rhinestones and lace, and the crystals. I just want more and more."
A former Britain & Ireland's Next Top Model judge, Julian isn't a complete stranger to Strictly, having previously appeared as a fashion expert on the programme's backstage show, It Takes Two.
As the tables turn and Julian finds himself on the other side of the judging panel, we can't wait to see how Strictly's first fashion designer contestant fares! JS
