Jo Wood and her fiery dance partner Brendan Cole became the 6th couple to leave the BBC show

Saturday's show saw the 11 remaining couples tackle either a glamorous American Smooth or a sexy Samba.

All of the couples dazzled on the dance floor - some more so than others.

The Bill's Ali Bastian scored the second 10 of the series (the first was given to Hollyoaks heart-throb Ricky Whittle), which gave her the top score of the competition this year.

Ricky Whittle, Zoe Lucker and Jade Johnson also came out with unforgettable routines. Despite scoring a 32 out of 40, Jade Johnson and her partner Ian Waite found themselves in the dance-off with Jo and Brendan.

They then battled it out for the one remaining place in next week's show. The Olympic athlete put everything into her performance, and received a clean sweep of the judges' votes, as they unanimously voted to keep her in the competition.

As always, the costumes were phenomenal and played a huge part in the story telling of the dances.

Laila Rouass' black jumpsuit she wore last week was branded the best outfit of all seven seasons, with its elaborate fringe detail that outlined her every move. Laila continued with the fringe theme this week, as she came out in a white fringed number for the Samba.

The Samba outfits brought a taste of Rio to the dance, whilst viewers were transported to Hollywood with the long, elegant gowns for the American Smooth.

Ali Bastian's bright orange backless frock, and Zoe Lucker's gold and white halter neck dress were among our favourite, as they really captured the Hollywood movie magic.
