Jessica Alba And Abbey Clancy Rock The Print Of The Season

Both Abbey Clancy and Jessica Alba rocked pucker-up lip prints in the last 24 hours, proving that this season's kitschiest of prints is going nowhere

When two hot stars rock one trend in a mere matter of hours you know you're on to something good. So when Abbey Clancy and Jessica Alba both stepped out wearing lip prints, we sat up and took notice.

First we spotted Abbey at the Jimmy Choo Spring/Summer 2015 show at the London Collections: Mens showcase rocking a seriously cool Giles pencil dress complete with kooky lip print design.

The print was a major factor in his SS14 collection, and it looks like it's sticking around for the long haul. Look closely and you'll see that the designer has directly offset the quirky factor of the motif by making the entire dress subtly see-through, showing off Abbey's slender physique perfectly. Well, we can't say we wouldn't do the same if we were her...

Then we clocked Jessica Alba rocking a lip print tee as she ran errands around LA. Keeping up with the casual vibe of the t-shirt, Jess upped the off-duty feel by pairing hers with a plaid check shirt, slouchy boyfriend jeans and edgy studded slippers, justifying her 'Queen of casual-style' status.

With two very different takes on one killer trend, lip prints are more versatile than you might have thought. Snap up this Giles jacquard dress for your next big night out and rock it with lashings of leather for added edge-appeal or, for a down-time spin, invest in this Markus Lupfer embellished jumper and wear it with everything from board shorts to your trusty skinny jeans.

So there you have it: pucker-up prints have set the bar as the quirkiest print of the season and, with the celeb-love for the motif only growing, we recommend you get in on it pronto.
