She may have had an Oscar snub and a Golden Globe loss to deal with over the last couple of weeks but Jennifer Aniston proved she was back on form yesterday as she got back to work on the promotional tour for her most recent film, Cake. And boy did she look stylish...
The 45-year-old actress was busy dashing between studios all day Wednesday but, instead of sporting pretty dresses and skirts, it was Jen's effortless but very pulled together outfits that made an impression where it counts.
We first clocked the star as she made her way to the Good Morning America TV studios where — true to form — she took some time to meet-and-greet her fans. With a huge smile on her face and hands waving to the crowd who bared the freezing NYC temperatures just to catch a glimpse of the starlet, Jen looked seriously chic in her monochrome combo.
Sporting a white pussy-bow blouse, Jen made the top look instantly cooler by leaving the lengths of fabric loose to create the illusion of a long, thin scarf. Tucking her top into high-waist black shorts and finishing off her attire with a black dress coat, opaque tights and classic Christian Louboutin black courts, Jen's outfit is the stuff our workwear dreams are made of.
However, this wasn't Jen's only outfit of note. For her appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, the former Friends star looked the epitome of sophistication in a ruffled Givenchy high neck top, tailored black tuxedo trousers and — yep, you've guessed it — her go-to Louboutin heels.
Her appearances on the respective shows came just after Jennifer spoke out about her 'feud' with Angelina Jolie for the first time since she and her ex-husband Brad Pitt filed for divorce back in 2005.
Chatting to US talk show Entertainment Tonight about missing out on an Oscar nomination for her role as a chronic pain sufferer in Cake, the interviewer went on to make the observation that Angelina — who married Brad in an intimate ceremony last year — also missed out on any nom's for her directed film, Unbroken. To everyones surprise, Jen only had great things to say about the film and its director...
Put on the spot, Jen's response was very open and genuine, saying: ‘I mean, that movie is so beautiful and wonderful, and she did such a gorgeous job.’
She then went on to address her 'feud' with the star, setting the record straight for all: ‘I think it's time people stop with that petty B.S. and just start celebrating great work and stop with the petty kind of silliness. I think that’s slowly coming to an end. I really do. It’s just tiresome and old. It’s like an old leather shoe. Let’s buy a new pair of shiny shoes.’
Now THAT'S what we call a revelation, and serves as proof that Jennifer really is the ultimate girl's girl — an inspiration all round, really...
