Jennifer Aniston and her hubby Justin Theroux are doing a stand up job at keeping their nuptials under wraps, aren't they? No photos have surfaced from inside the bash, no official statement to the press, nada. However, Justin broke his silence on their wedding, melting our hearts in the process...
On his appearance on Good Morning America, he gushed about his new bride and revealed the unlikely guest who made people cry during the ceremony… You're not going to believe this: Jimmy Kimmel. Yep, Jimmy Kimmel as in 'Celebrities Read Mean Tweets' Jimmy Kimmel, as in making Daniel Radcliffe rap Blackalicious' Alphabet Aerobics Jimmy Kimmel.
As officiator of the wedding, Jimmy was 'extremely funny [and] touching' and 'cried a little bit - he did - well, everyone did.' Can you imagine it… What we wouldn't give to have been a fly on the wall at that wedding.
Speaking to People magazine back in August, the 44-year-old said that being married to Jen 'does feel different', but it's what he said next that made us super emosh...
'I'm very happy. It's nice to be able to look down and see a new piece of jewellery on my finger.' CUTE.
Last week, it was business as usual for Jennifer Aniston as she got back to work to promote her new film She's Funny That Way, after her two-week honeymoon in Bora Bora with her new husband Justin Theroux. And although he was MIA at the film's LA premiere, she DID give us some amazing things to go on from their nuptials.
When she quizzed her on her big day, Jennifer responded in the most Jen-An way possible: 'I’m not telling you about any of that stuff!' she said, with humour in her voice. 'We had the beautiful luxury of having a beautiful, private moment. And I’m going to be selfish and keep it that way.'
However, she did go on to say that she is 'deliriously happy' right now, although her life with Justin hasn't actually changed all that much. 'It just feels so natural', she said of their recent weeks as husband and wife.
Excuse us while we grab a kleenex...
Another talking point surrounding Jen's big day was her bridal look. Did you think this was Jennifer Aniston's wedding dress? Turns out, you weren't alone...
Earlier this week, the first photograph of what appeared to be Jennifer's wedding dress popped up on an unverified Facebook account under her name and, needless to say, it sent the internet into overdrive. The actress and her partner Justin Theroux tied the knot in a super-secret Hollywood ceremony on the 5th of August in front of more than 70 friends and family members at their Bel Air home and, given how notoriously private the couple are, we'd kind of made our peace with the fact we probably weren't going to get an inside look of the nuptials any time soon.
So, you can imagine our (and the world's) excitement when we heard that the first leaked pic from the do was of none other than Jen's dress! Featuring a low cut back adorned with scalloped lace and a dramatic pooling train, there was no question about it - her wedding dress choice was eye-wateringly beautiful. However, after having a closer look at the photo, we weren't entirely convinced it was the real deal. Soz for the buzzkill.
Don't get us wrong - we wanted it to be her. But there was a few things that just didn't add up...
- For starters, the photograph was uploaded to an unverified Jennifer Aniston Facebook account, accompanied by the caption 'You have my whole heart for my whole life #WeddingDress'. Now, for someone who's never shown an interest in social media to post such a personal image AND have the savvy to use hashtags from the get go is quite remarkable, is it not?
- It goes without saying that the couple went to great lengths to keep their wedding top secret, even duping their guests into thinking it was a birthday party for Justin. Why go to all that trouble to then reveal one of the most intimate parts of her big day to the world? Yep, we weren't buying it.
- The angle of the photograph meant it was impossible to tell if it was really Jen, as we could only see a tiny part of her face.
And, as it turns out, our suspicions were right on the money.
The photograph is, in fact, a stock shot from a bridal designer which has been used time and time again on various websites, and has wound up being copied on discount bridal sites to boot. Don't believe us - or, at least, don't want to believe us? Here's the same model wearing the identical dress front on...
THE DREAM IS DEAD.
Sure - Jen's actual wedding dress is still a complete mystery, but here's what we do know about Jennifer's nuptials...
1. It was super-secret
We're used to celebrity weddings being kept under wraps, but it seems this sneaky pair took things to a whole new level. Reports suggest that in a bid to keep their wedding totally private, Jen told her nearest and dearest that she was throwing Justin a surprise 44th birthday party at their mansion. Wow.
2. It was a pretty starry affair
While they may have been a little in the dark as to the real reason for their invite, Jen and Justin's big day guest list still read like a who's who of Hollywood. It's thought Jen chose BFF Courteney Cox to be her Maid Of Honour, while their fellow Friends co-star Lisa Kudrow helped them celebrate their big day. Reports suggest Emily Blunt and John Krasinski, Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rosssi, and Jen's close pal Chelsea Handler were also seen going into the star's home looking suitably chic, while a cake with Mr & Mrs toppers, and a pastor were both spied entering the venue earlier on in the day.
3. It took place on Wednesday
It's thought the couple walked down the aisle on Wednesday, after months of meticulous planning - even storing all the accessories at their home to avoid being found out. The first media outlet to break the news was US celebrity website TMZ, who are said to have had confirmation of the nuptials taking place in the grounds of the Jennifer and Justin's picturesque Hollywood home, as well as photographic evidence of the lavish set-up in Jen's sprawling back garden.
4. The reception was an outdoor affair
The secret garden wedding celebration is thought to have included a wooden stage, with seating for 74 set up in the mansion's beautiful grounds, plus cosy ottomans and nooks for nestling in as the evening wore on. Sia sang 2014 hit Chandelier, and after night fell, insiders say the trees and plants in the garden came alive with romantic fairy lights, giving the evening party a dream-like feel. Beautiful.
5. Jen's dress was a closely guarded secret
Reports suggest Jennifer Aniston's wedding dress was kept under wraps until right at the last minute. And while there are not yet photographs of the bride and groom themselves, we imagine the actress would have opted for a slinky, bias cut gown to show off her fabulous figure - a bridal version of the slinky Versace number she wore to attend the Oscars earlier this year.

6. Jen and Justin's favourite jeweller designed the rings
It's thought the couple's wedding bands were designed by their friend Jennifer Meyer, with Jen's crafted to compliment her huge diamond sparkler. Gorgeous.
7. They have already jetted off on honeymoon
After throwing the party to end all parties (which reportedly went on until 3am), Jen and Justin hot footed it straight to the airport, and were spied boarding a private jet on Thursday. It's thought the couple are bound for the beautiful isle of Bora Bora for some uninterrupted R&R, but may even have invited some of their closest friends along to continue the party. We're not jealous at all...
8. Two people who we thought would be a dead cert on the guest list weren't invited
That's right, two of the most important people in Jennifer's professional life weren't invited to her big day, and we're kind of surprised. Matt Le Blanc and Matthew Perry - who starred alongside the actress in the hit TV series Friends for ten years as Joey and Chandler respectively - revealed that neither of them received an invite, but both are over the moon for their former co-star. Matthew said, 'I was surprised. I didn't know about it, but if she wanted me there, I would have been there'.
Matt added: 'Everybody is okay. The girls were there, you've got to have the girls there. I think they're a great couple. I think she's happy. And that's all I care about is that Jen's happy.'
Aw, you guys. Let's grab a cup of coffee and talk it out at Central Perk, yeah?
Congrats again, to Jen and Justin!
