Jay Z, aka Shawn Carter, is at the reigns of yet another creative masterpiece as it's been announced that the rapper is following in Lady Gaga's footsteps with a high-profile holiday collaboration with Barneys.
The partnership with the US department store will be entitled "A New York Holiday", and will feature pieces from designers such as Balenciaga, Balmain, Stutterheim, Lanvin and Proenza Schouler - all designed under Jay Z's watchful creative eye.
The announcement of the annual collaboration run by Barneys comes two years after Lady Gaga took over the department store with her "Gaga's Workshop" - a Christmas-esque extravaganza that offered a plethora of 'Little Monster' themed gifts and boasted record breaking sales for the store.
And we're not surprised that Jay Z has been snapped up as the latest celebrity guest collaborator. Having tested his creative abilities with an executive producer title on recent cinematic hit The Great Gatsby, it's clear that Mr Beyonce is most comfortable when at the front of the next big entrepreneurial hit.
"A New York Holiday" will be hitting Barneys in plenty of time for the holiday season on 20 November - and with prices of the collection ranging from $70 to a whopping $33,900 (for a unique Shawn Carter by Hublot timepiece), it's clear why he and Beyonce were recently named one of the most profitable star couples around…
