Jamie Dornan signs on for Fifty Shades Of Grey film, replacing Charlie Hunnam as Christian Grey
The Calvin Klein model and Once Upon A Time actor will take on the risqué role, signing on for the Hollywood adaptation of E.L James’ best-selling novel.
New reports from Variety.com, comes just over a week after Charlie Hunnam’s shock exit from the film, which was blamed on his busy work schedule.
Now Northern Irish hunk Jamie will star alongside Dakota Johnson, who will play leading lady Anastasia Steele.
The 31-year-old actor is also well known for his part in BBC drama, The Fall, and was quickly named the favourite to play Christian after Charlie’s departure.
Fans are unlikely to be disappointed by Jamie’s casting, given the actor’s dashingly good looks and impressive track record in underwear modeling.
It’s thought that Jamie took part in a screen test last Friday, where his chemistry with Dakota was put to the test under the watchful eye of producers Michael De Luca and Dana Brunetti. E.L James is also said to have popped by for the impressive audition.
Further rumours suggest Jamie has since signed on for three further Fifty Shades films, depending on the success of the first installment.
The cast is expected to start filming very soon, with the film set to hit screens in summer 2014.
A new reason to justifty total Fifty Shades excitement? We’d say so.
