Last night was a big night for music with the star-studded 2011 NME Awards bash hosted at Brixton Academy. Celebs Alexa Chung, Kate Moss and Juliette Lewis joined music stars Dave Grohl, My Chemical Romance and co. to celebrate the best in musical talent. And InStyle was there to bring you all the news from the night!

Red carpet guests included Best of British nominee Jaime Winstone, who wore a fabulous printed jacket by Vauxhall Fashion Scout winner Hermoine de Paula. Taking time out to chat to InStyle, Jaime explained that the evening was a; "Nice end to the madness of London Fashion Week." We agree!

We also caught up with DJ Bip Ling who opted for some on-trend colour blocking with a pair of green city shorts and white shirt from Lacoste. The model and fashion blogger sat on a super stylish table with fellow rising stars including InStyle favourites Douglas Booth, Sunday Girl and VV Brown to celebrate L!VE, a new collection - from Lacoste inspired by music, street art and youth.

Other bright young stars included the cast of Skins, who walked away with the Best TV Show Award. Gorgeous stars Freya Mavor and Laya Lewis told InStyle that the NME Awards were "The biggest event we have been to" and revealed that dressing for the red carpet "Is really nerve racking, our stomachs are still in knots."

Other well-seasoned red carpet guests included Kate Moss in a super-hot luxe leather dress, Mark Ronson joined by fiancee Josephine De La Baume, Marina Diamandis and Dave Grohl along with Foo Fighters bandmates.

After the ceremony, stars including Professor Green, Pixie Geldof and Jaime Winstone headed to an uber glam after-party at London's hottest venue the W Hotel's Wyld Bar London, where they partied until the small hours.
