It was a fashion and art love-in last night at the opening of the Dior Illustrated Rene Gruau exhibition at Somerset House. Raising a toast to Gruau’s iconic collection of fashion and beauty images throughout the 20th century, InStyle mingled with the fashion set on the South Bank.
Handsome waiters served cocktails and canapés while guests viewed Gruau's wantable collection of illustrations for Dior, gorgeous vintage Dior perfume bottles, plus a selection of jaw-dropping Dior Couture and John Galliano dresses.
And it was a Dior-fest on the celebrity front too. Daisy Lowe stole the show by rocking up in a vampy strapless leather Dior dress and buckled ankle boots, while Josephine de la Baume went all ladylike in a Dior pencil skirt and blouse combo. Also on the VIP list was Harry Potter actress Bonnie Wright, designer Roland Mouret, Mark Ronson and Kick Ass star Chloe Moretz who looked cute in a floral number.
The Dior Illustrated: Rene Gruau and the Line of Beauty exhibition runs until the 9 January
